Overview
Mood Journal helps you privately record and reflect on your emotions. Your entries remain stored locally by default, and syncing is fully optional.
Data We Collect
- Email address (optional): used only if you choose to enable backup or cloud sync.
- Anonymous analytics: limited crash and usage data to help us improve stability.
- Journal entries, moods, tags, and notes: stored locally on your device unless you explicitly enable sync.
How We Use Data
- Operate and improve the app’s journaling and tracking features.
- Provide optional sync or backup services.
- Analyze anonymized metrics to improve reliability.
We do not sell your data or share personal information with advertisers.
Sharing
We may share limited technical data with trusted service providers (for example, for crash reporting or sync). These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to deliver services on our behalf.
Data Retention
Data is stored on your device until you delete it. For users who enable sync, cloud-stored data is retained only as long as your account remains active or until deletion is requested.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time. If you’re in a region that grants specific privacy rights (like the EU or California), you can exercise them by contacting us.
Security
We use strong encryption and secure communication protocols to protect synced data. While no system is perfectly secure, we continually enhance our safeguards to maintain your trust.
Children
Mood Journal is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect new features or legal requirements. Updates will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
